Chief Information Officer for a Major Multi-Product Overseas Port

A major multinational corporation based overseas is seeking a Chief Information Officer with significant expertise in the marine & port-related industries to drive processes and practices for the flow of information across a range of cargo handling and other value added services. The corporation is a global leader in infrastructure development, ports, coal, oil and gas exploration and power generation. The CIO of this multi-product port will be instrumental in developing strategies, formulating policies, and delivering IT value to the business.

Key responsibilities for the position will include development of short and long term information strategy, telecommunications, ABEX and intelligence. Implementation, integration and upgrading of the ERP (SAP) will be fundamental along with implementation of IT security and intelligence systems. The CIO will lead a team of project experts having specific responsibilities within multiple levels throughout the corporation. This position will interface regularly with the Managing Director, CFOs and other divisional heads.

Requirements:
• Engineering undergraduate degree
• Minimum of 20 years operational experience in an IT Management /CIO role
• Strong communication and analytical abilities plus excellent conceptual thinking
• Port and shipping industry experience

Preferred Skills:
• Experience working in the CIO role in a large corporate conglomerate with diverse infrastructure business interests and explicit knowledge of the port/shipping and marine industries.
• Conversant with SAP/ERP Solutions Package, IT security and intelligence systems
• Strong knowledge of Different Business & Best Practices in the port/shipping and marine industries

This is a Senior Level Position.
