GROUP CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER A major multinational corporation based in India is seeking a Group Chief Information Officer to drive processes and practices for the flow on information across its diversified portfolio of businesses. The corporation is a global leader in infrastructure development, coal, oil and gas exploration, power generation, and IT services. The CIO position will be instrumental in developing strategies, formulating policies, and delivering IT value to the Group’s multiple businesses with diverse operations. Domain expertise in heavy industries will be a plus. Key responsibilities for the CIO will include development of short and long term information strategy, telecommunications, ABEX and intelligence. Implementation, integration and upgrading of the ERP (SAP) will be fundamental along with implementation of IT security and intelligence systems. The CIO will lead a team of project leaders having specific responsibilities within multiple levels throughout the corporation. This position will report to the Group CFO, and will interface regularly with the Group Chairman/Managing Director, CFOs from Group businesses, and business heads at various corporate levels. Requirements:• Engineering undergraduate degree plus MCA• Minimum of 20 years operational experience in an IT Management /CIO role• Strong communication and analytical abilities plus excellent conceptual thinking Preferred Skills:• Experience working in the CIO role in a large corporate conglomerate with diverse business interests, preferably in power, mining, ports and infrastructure• Conversant with SAP/ERP Solutions Package, IT security and intelligence systems• Strong knowledge of Different Business & Best Practices This is a Senior Level Position.
