Head Dry Bulk Operation - Major Import Coal Port Terminal
Krishnan & Associates, Inc. (www.krishnaninc.com) an executive search firm focused on the coal, energy, infrastructure and power industries is working on a retained search for the following positions located overseas for a state-of-the-art port handling in excess of 50 million tons of cargo per annum. The port is rapidly expanding capacity and is constructing a dry bulk terminal that will handle a large volume of imported coal and is also expanding its liquid terminal tank capacity. We are seeking to find suitable candidates to head each of the operations below: Head Dry Bulk OperationsMinimum 15 years in operations and maintenance of a Dry Bulk Terminal or facility (Coal). A suitable person with an Engineering degree or equivalent with experience of both operations and maintenance of bulk coal terminal or ore terminal. Knowledge of operations and maintenance of stacker reclaimers, Conveyor systems, automated systems (PLC etc) and other materials handling systems is essential. The terminal is at the present time under construction and at the initial stage commissioning of the terminal equipment will be the focus. At the first instance the suitable candidate should be able to set up and implement the necessary Operating and Maintenance, Safety/Risk, Engineering and Training structures, Policies and Procedures. Should be able to implement manage and run these functions. Head - Liquid Terminal Operations Minimum 15 years of experience in operating a complex port based Liquid terminal dealing in varied products such as Petroleum products, Petrochemicals, edible oils, etc. Will be responsible for the Operation processes and safety processes of the Liquid Terminal. Should be able to deliver safe and efficient operation of the terminal, that would be acceptable to stringent requirements of international clients. Drive complete automation of the Liquid terminal and contribute significantly in selection and installation of the right technology. Develop the subordinate team members in operations and technology, and make a structured program for training and skill development of the Liquid terminal Operations staff. Supervise day-to-day operations of the Liquid terminal, and drive the installation of the standard operating processes and best practices. Drive the efficiency improvement of the Liquid terminal. Compensation package is excellent with performance bonus and perquisites. Expatriate opportunity with a 2-3 year contract that can be extended based on mutual consent and performance.
