Sales Director - Plant Upgrade Business, OEM

(www.krishnaninc.com) a recruiting and search firm specialized in the power industry is seeking talented and qualified individual for a senior position for a CLIENT COMPANY operating from its regional headquarters in the southern region of US. The position requires 20 years experience in boiler equipment sales, marketing, proposal or potentially a “Front End” project management role. Key responsibilities will include: 1. Establishing, maintaining and enhancing the profile of Client Company 2.Supporting the growth aspirations of Client Company plant upgrade business in USA through increased volume of order intake and where appropriate diversification of business portfolio3. Managing the direct report sales team and integrating with the proposals commercial and technical support teams4. Managing the existing sales rep. network and identifying needs for new reps in line with the growth aspiration and market requirements5. Identifying potential customers and partners for plant upgrade / aftermarket business and ensuring satisfactory prequalification to bid for such projects in USA6.Working with other companies if appropriate in consortium or other bid arrangements to bid on a turnkey EPC basis7. Interface with clients and make presentations; define scope of work; review contracts8. Identify bid strategies, manage preparation of bids, negotiate contracts; and manage proposals, coordinate and support marketing activities, and assist in business planning and sales forecasting 9. Manage participation in trade shows, other business development opportunities10. Coordinating with others in the organization to obtain and disseminate market intelligence from a variety of sources11. Identifying industry trends, opportunities and shortfalls in Client company ability to meet customer expectations; For opportunities to recommend forward strategies; for shortfalls to recommend strategies to overcome12.Generally to work with others in the organization to ensure the profitability of the business 13. Assist in the company and the region to achieve its business plan objectives14. Work with others to encourage innovation and thought directed to improvement of profitability or achievement of differentiation relative to our competition.
