Senior Engineer, Material Handling & Hg Systems

Krishnan & Associates, Inc. (www.krishnaninc.com) a recruiting and search firm specialized in the power industry is seeking talented and qualified individual for a Senior Engineer position for a CLIENT COMPANY operating in Northeast US. The candidate will work with and compliment its engineering, manufacturing, sales and service departments in growing the market for these integrated systems worldwide.

The individual will perform a variety of engineering tasks which include:

1. Complete system design to generate costing, proposal, and final P&IDs
2. Sizing all system components, controls and instrumentation utilizing customer specifications and any in-house laboratory or pilot evaluations
3. Become the primary technical liaison between the company and its key vendors for all peripheral and subcontracted equipment or components
4. Assist the sales department in producing technically strong proposals
5. Participate in presentations to potential customers both before and after the proposal effort
6. Supervise the installation and start-up of integrated systems and provide ongoing customer service as needed.

The candidate should possess the following:

1.Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering,PE license will be a plus
2. Knowledge of control systems, computer integration for process equipment for storing, discharging, blending, feeding, and screening of dry solids
3. Familiarity with mechanical or pneumatic conveying equipment
4. Knowledge of large storage silos (typical diameters ranging from 10’ to 19’) to include familiarity with silo coatings, civil requirements (foundations, ladders, wind and seismic loads) and OSHA requirements
5. Experience with engineering firms and equipment suppliers serving the power generation industry
6. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization. Competitive salary and bonus.
